Coaching Super Series '22 -Session #2 "Sweeping" with Meaghan Hughes , March 30th : 4pm-5pm


Six -time Provincial Scotties Winner & Sweeping Powerhouse , Meaghan Hughes will teach sweeping techniques and strategies to bring your sweeping to the next level!

On Wednesday , March 30th the second session of the “Coaching Super Series” will focus on effective sweeping techniques and will be led by Team Birt's Meaghan Hughes. Meaghan is a 6-time PEI Scotties champion, four-time PEI U21 provincial champion, and represented PEI at the Canada Winter Games in 2003. She currently plays second on Team Birt's front end. Meaghan (along with teammate Michelle Quaid) is part of one of the top sweeping duos among Canada's élite curlers! The deadline to register for this clinic for the "Coaching Super Series" is Friday , March 25th, 2022.

In the past four seasons, Team Birt has been very successful playing on the World Curling Tour, qualifying for the playoffs in several events. During the 2021-2022 season, they were finalists in the Oakville Fall Classic and the Oakville Labour Day Classic and won the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic. They also curled in the Olympic Trials Direct-Entry Event and the Olympic Pre-Trials. Meaghan Hughes, along with her teammates on Team Birt, are members and curl out of the Cornwall Curling Club and the Montague Curling Club, and are often "giving back" to juniors across the province. We are so happy to have Meaghan join us for the "Coaching Super Series" on sweeping!
